106 days: Kamala Harris has yet to hold an official press conference since her Democratic nomination

Vice President Kamala Harris has been on the run for 106 days, and now she's been nominated for the Democratic presidential nomination without holding a formal press conference.

Trump has held at least six news conferences where he has taken questions from the media since early August. Harris has held several brief, informal press conferences this week with the media while on the campaign trail, including on Monday where he criticized Trump's tone and remarks at a rally in New York City over the weekend. On Saturday, he appeared on NBC's “Saturday Night Live” during a cold show.

He gave a speech on Tuesday in Washington, DC, explaining his approach to the United States and how he differs from what he called Trump's hard and dark vision.

Harris also ended his streak of not appearing on Fox News last month, sitting down for an interview in Pennsylvania with political anchor Bret Baier. He has also done a CNN town hall and interviews in recent days with NBC News, Telemundo and CBS, as well as several podcasts and local news stations in recent weeks.

Harris expanded his speaking engagements in October, including performing radio hits, friendly appearances on “The View,” Stephen Colbert and Howard Stern and other media appearances.

But as for when he will hold an official press conference as a candidate, that will not happen since the election is two days away.

Conservative Radio Libre host Jorge Bonilla feels Harris should hold a press conference but said it's probably “useless” because he keeps passing.

“It is unlikely that he will hold a press conference because the media has empowered and encouraged his 'plexiglass basement' strategy, where he maintains the illusion of being there while being completely unavailable to the media and therefore unaccountable,” Bonilla told Fox News Digital. .

Trump has skipped several interviews in recent weeks, but he did appear at the annual Al Smith's dinner that has already featured presidential candidates doing light roasts. Harris decided not to go, sending a video message instead.

Harris also gave an interview last month on “60 Minutes” that caused controversy for choosing to host the show with an answer he gave to a question about Israel. In an interview preview from Oct. 6, CBS aired one part of his response but appeared to air a completely different part of it during the original Oct. 7.
