When it comes to the best mid-major programs — most easily defined as any school that isn't a member of a Power 4 conference — Dallas Baptist is on the very short list of the best teams in the nation. With head coach Dan Heefner leading the team, DBU has made the postseason for 10 consecutive seasons. In fact, since Heefner took over as head coach beginning in the 2008 season, the Patriots have missed the NCAA Tournament just three times (2009, 2010, 2013).
