24 Times Stars Have Worn Looks on the Red Carpet and Beyond
There are no celebrities always just like us.
When it comes to red carpet dressing, stars are under pressure to deliver another successful look. However, eco-conscious celebrities have started turning to sustainable brands and vintage designs in recent years, but perhaps few good causes are as popular as a celebrity who completely recycles an outfit.
It's a smart style move we've seen inspired for decades, thankfully of late Princess Diana. The Princess of Wales is known for redefining looks on the red carpet and beyond. Alterations were often involved in order to easily change, for example, a strapless ball gown into one with full sleeves. Traditionally, members of the real and Hollywood family were expected to wear a new look for every appearance. Forward-thinking stars, like them Tiffany Haddishthey opposed this practice. Haddish wore an Alexander McQueen dress from 2017 Girls Journey it starts six times (and counting), all for social events and for a big joke.
The second incident was in 2018 when it caught on Saturday Night Live to which Haddish joked on stage: “I'm not paying attention! I spent a lot of money on this dress. This dress is worth more than my mortgage. This is a $4,000 dress! I will wear this dress again and again!”
Currently, Halle Berry revived Elie Saab's memorable look she wore at the 2002 Academy Awards (where she won the Oscar for Best Actress for her role Monster Ball), to take the runway for the “1001 Seasons of Elie Saab” fashion show in November 2024. As if to make history, the dress was previously exhibited at the Academy Museum.
