GOBankingRates spoke to a trucking and mechanic expert who listed three trucks they wouldn't buy and the reasons why they shouldn't.

“The 2018 IF-150 might be the worst-looking Ford truck on the lineup [and] unfortunately it also seems to be a very inefficient machine,” said Tomasz Mazurkiewicz, CEO of Truck1.
“Transmission issues seemed to plague the 2018 Ford F-150,” explained Mazurkiewicz. “[This] It not only affects the comfort and safety of drivers but if the problem is not fixed, it can be an expensive issue. There are various reports that claim it […] premature stall-outs and engine malfunctions. Eco-boost models seem to be particularly affected by this.
“There's no denying that the F-150 looks great. Unfortunately, the 2018 variant has too many problems, be it transmission failure, or slowdown. No one likes to compromise, especially when it comes to such purchases,” concluded Mazurkiewicz.

The 2019 Chevy Silverado features attractive looks alongside attractive looks, however this model has one significant drawback: the adaptive fuel management system, according to Mazurkiewicz.
“Although this system was designed to improve efficiency by using a lot of fuel, many people who have cars equipped with this system say that they have had bad incidents of fire explosions and failure of the cars to lift themselves,” explained Mazurkiewicz.
“To add insult to injury, the replacement of lifters and repairs begin [the] thousands, which [turns] buying this model is a gamble,” said Mazurkiewicz. “If you're a value shopper, the many complaints about internal quality alongside technical issues make it a very difficult purchase.”
