5 found dead in Minnesota in apparent suicide: police

Police in Duluth, Minnesota are investigating after five people were found dead at two different homes in West Duluth on Thursday around 2:10 p.m.
A press release indicates that Duluth Police responded to a welfare check call in the 6000 block of Tacony Street where they found a 47-year-old woman and a child dead inside.
After an investigation, they were able to identify the suspect at a residence in the 4400 block of West 6th Street.

The police were able to enter the house where they found another 45-year-old woman and a small child dead from gunshot wounds without the suspect, a 46-year-old man. The suspect also died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound according to police officials.
The police believe that the victims are known to each other, but have not released their names yet, pending notification of relatives.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims' families and loved ones involved in this tragic incident. This incident remains an ongoing and ongoing investigation,” the release said. “It is expected that a press conference will be held tomorrow. More information will be released later.”
