Yung Filly charged with reckless driving while out on bail for rape charges in Australia

YouTuber Yung Filly is facing new reckless driving charges, according to reports in Australia, where he is accused of raping a woman.

The 29-year-old, whose real name is Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is accused by police of driving a speed camera at 158km/h (98mph) on a Perth highway last month.

It is alleged to have happened while Barrientos was out on bail for allegedly assaulting a woman at a Perth hotel in September.

The BBC has contacted Barrientos' representatives for comment.

When contacted for comment, the police said they could not confirm the charges but said the 29-year-old suspect was charged with reckless driving.

Police say the speeding incident happened on November 17, in the High Wycombe area of ​​Perth, where the speed was 100km/h, and his car was impounded.

Barrientos will appear in court on charges of reckless driving on December 19, where he will appear on four counts of sexual intercourse without consent, three counts of assault causing bodily harm, and one count of interfering with a person's normal breathing or blood circulation by pressure. or on their neck.

It is alleged that Barrientos took the 20-year-old woman back to her hotel room after performing at nightclub Bar1 in Perth. This rapper traveled to Australia to make his music.

Barrientos is best known for his work with the YouTube group Beta Squad and has presented shows on BBC Three.

He has also appeared, in the UK, on ​​ITV's Soccer Aid and Channel 4's Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.

Barrientos won the Mobo Award for the best media person in 2021.
