Dozens killed in Israeli airstrike on Gaza's Nuseirat refugee camp | Gaza news

More than 30 Palestinians were killed and 50 others injured when an Israeli plane attacked the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

Doctors told Reuters news agency that the post office that sheltered the Palestinian families that remained was hit, as well as nearby houses.

Photos from the scene show small children covered in dust and blood in the rubble of the collapsed building.

Nuseirat is one of the eight refugee camps in the Gaza Strip that were established in 1948 after the forced expulsion of Palestinians from nearby areas, often referred to as the Nakba or “catastrophe”.
