Taylor Swift Gets a Birthday Message from Hospital Patients She Visits

“We can't shake it—the joy, smiles and laughter that filled our halls yesterday as @taylorswift13 visited patients in Kansas City,” X's message from the hospital's official account read on Friday, December 13. “Thank you and happy birthday to all your supporters at Children's Mercy!”
Swift turned 35 on Friday, one day after a surprise hospital visit. The pop star met several patients and their families, posing for selfies and signing autographs The Eras Tour merchandise.
In a video shared late Friday, several patients recorded Swift's personal messages thanking her for the good things.

“Happy birthday, Taylor,” another patient said. “It was special for you to come visit me because I was always just a person, like a normal child, who was left out. So, for you to visit me, it makes me know that I am not just a child and I am a special person.”
Another fan, who was wearing a 1989 Concert T-shirt, gushed over Swift's “done” tour [her] feel special” as he made a hand heart.
Other patients and nursing staff shared well wishes for Swift's milestone birthday.
“On behalf of Children's Mercy, happy birthday,” said the hospital staff in unison. “We love all the support you Swiftys show us and we know it's because of you. Thank you, Taylor!”

During Swift's surprise visit, she took the time to greet each fan and chat. Several of their parents praised the pop star's behavior in their social media posts.
“This morning, Baylee's day #6 in the hospital we had the coolest, most unexpected surprise (with 2 minute warning),” one mom wrote on Facebook. “TAYLOR SWIFT visited the children in the hospital today and Baylee was chosen as she requested Taylor's songs when she was not feeling well!”

He added, “You are amazing! Despite her perfect beauty, she was kind and personable and humble. He gave Baylee his signed copy The Eras Tour letter and accepts a gift from Baylee (diamond artwork) as well. We've been messing around this morning! I even cried because it's nice to see my girl smiling so much knowing the pain she's been in.”
Another parent also thanked Swift for “bringing joy” to her son, writing, “Great way to bring a smile and make a memory.”
