Photos released by Russia's Transport Prosecutor's Office show a Russian oil tanker capsized and sinking amid a strong storm, with oil trails visible in the water.
The ship is one of two Russian ships with 29 crew members seriously injured in the Black Sea by Russian authorities.
At least one crew member is reported to have died. The second vessel is said to have drifted after being damaged.
The incident took place in the Kerch Strait, which separates Russia from Crimea – the Ukrainian peninsula that Moscow illegally annexed in 2014.
