Twelve died of carbon monoxide poisoning at the Gudauri ski resort

12 people have died from carbon monoxide poisoning at a ski resort in Georgia, police said.

The bodies of 11 immigrants and one Georgian were found in a dormitory above a restaurant at the Gudauri ski resort in the north of the country, according to officials.

The police said that “initial tests do not show that there is any violence on the bodies” and that it appears to have been an accident, AFP news agency reported.

Gudauri is the largest and highest ski resort in the former Soviet state.
