“I only signed a one-year contract,” he explained. “And during the first season, [showrunner] Erica [Messer] he said to me, 'I don't know what will happen. We haven't found the end of the season yet, but we decided not to kill it. We want to keep you close.' So, I came back and I was very happy [do it].”

“I wanted to direct forever. I kept quiet Friday Night Lights. I've presented myself for almost every show I've been on,” said Gilford. “It's hard to get that opportunity. I wanted to do it for a long time. And it inspired me when I got to direct my episode because Erica and everyone was like, 'Do your episode. Do whatever you want.'”

I've been really lucky in my career, but it's been cool,” Gilford shared about his experience with the CBS process. “Everybody that comes on that set says, 'This is the best set I've ever been on,'” he said. Us. “It's a lot of fun working with your friends and they're the best group of people. Then, if we lose, our f—king team is terrible. They are dope, cool, funny, cool and good at their jobs.
