The reality star confirmed his departure during the Friday, December 20th episode of the “Going Rogue” podcast, which he guest hosted.
“I wasn't asked about next season,” Bellino, 47, said.
Bellino, who mainly quarreled with a castmate Shannon Storms Beador60, said he wasn't too surprised when he heard he couldn't come back.
“I wouldn't say it was scary, it wasn't scary,” Bellino said on the podcast. “It was a difficult conversation. … I guess I wasn't really ready [because] I didn't think the contracts were coming out – like, I thought we had more time. … [So] I was shocked when the call came, but I was not shocked by that information.”
Bellino was back Housewives franchise as a “friend” after an absence of ten years. (Bellino made his title debut in season 4 of 2008 before leaving in season 8.)
In the podcast, Bellino said that since he had to deal with leaving the game, he was able to take the news in his effort.
“It was a bit of a relief,” Bellino said. “I mean, no one wants to be rejected, and no one wants to.” [hear] you are not asked back. But it has already happened to me. It happened to me in season 8. Been there, done that!”

Talking to Us Weekly in November, Storms Beader confirmed that he was not happy to be recorded with Bellino.

“I was on Nick Viall's podcast, and he said, 'What are you going to do when Alexis comes back on the show?' And my response was, 'I'm not filming with Alexis anymore,'” he recalls. “If they choose to bring Alexis back on the show, enjoy, but I'm not filming with you.”
He added, “I never said I wouldn't come back.” I probably did that in my third or fourth year and I haven't done it since.”
Storms Beader said she would like to return for season 19, but added, “But if Alexis Bellino does come back, I'm sorry, she won't be there. [her].”
