Israel's foreign minister condemns the 'shocking' attack in Magdeburg

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar expressed his condolences following the horrific attack on the Christmas market in the center of the German city of Magdeburg that left five people dead and 200 injured.

“Horrifying images from Magdeburg, Germany last night,” Saar wrote on social media X on Saturday.

“I condemn this horrible crime,” he added, saying he offered his condolences to his German partner Annalena Baerbock.

“Israel stands with the German people in their mourning and provides any assistance needed.”
