Christmas Movies That Are Not Technically Christmas Movies
Move this way, Home alone! There is no shortage of films to watch during Christmas, but there are more movies to be added to the queue beyond A Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street or A Christmas story.
Die Hard it's a very important film that wasn't originally considered a Christmas classic. However, some fans count the 1988 thriller among their holiday favorites.
In the film, New York City police officer John McClane (Bruce Willis) meeting his estranged wife (Bonnie Bedelia) in Los Angeles at a Christmas Eve party at his office. John must rescue the crew after a terrorist group kidnaps them.
Die Hard director John McTiernan he may not have intended the action film to be a Christmas classic. AuthorityLarry Taylor he detailed McTiernan's original intentions for the film in his book John McTiernan: The Rise and Fall of an Action Movie Icon.
“He didn't make it a Christmas movie, but he made sure to include certain parts of the movie,” Taylor explained. “It will keep the holiday season behind the action, and it will help reduce the pressure of the intense action.”
