NATO chief Rutte says Zelenskiy's criticism of Germany's Scholz is wrong
BERLIN (Reuters) – NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said he considers the criticism of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz unfair, DPA news agency reported.
Although Germany has been a key ally of Ukraine, its reluctance to provide long-range Taurus cruise missiles has been a source of frustration for Kyiv, which is fighting an enemy armed with powerful long-range weapons.
“I have often told Zelenskiy that he should stop criticizing Olaf Scholz, because I think it is wrong,” DPA quoted Rutte as saying in an interview on Monday.

Rutte also said that he, unlike Scholz, will supply Ukraine with Taurus cruise missiles and will not impose restrictions on their use.
“In general, we know that such skills are very important for Ukraine,” Rutte said, adding that it was not up to him to decide which competitors should bring.
After Scholz's phone call with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in November, Zelenskiy said he had opened a Pandora's box undermining efforts to isolate the Russian leader and end the war in Ukraine “with reasonable peace”.
