Mars is an amazing speakeasy located behind Evan Funke's popular Mother Wolf Italian restaurant in the Citizen News building. After indulging in an evening of pasta and pizza in the LA restaurant's dining room, head to Mars for curated cocktails or bottle service. The red and shiny space has antique chandeliers, candlelit coffee tables, intricate tapestries and a heated patio where you can drink a Black Manhattan, made with rye, sweet vermouth, Cynar, bitters and saline, Bellucci, which contains tequila, mezcal, lime, basil, strawberry black pepper syrup and green tajin, or the King's Negroni, made with Bombay Sapphire, Barolo Chinato and Campari. Mars also offers a unique liquor locker membership that includes your own locker containing mysteriously covered vintage bottles along the back wall of the lounge.
