Women, children among the dead as Israeli soldiers again attacked civilians sheltering in a so-called civilian safe zone.

At least 11 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on makeshift tents housing displaced people in a humanitarian shelter in southern Gaza, local health officials and news agencies reported.

Thursday's attack on the al-Mawasi area – where the Israeli army declared a “safe zone” at the start of its war in Gaza – reportedly resulted in the killing of three children and two women among the 11 dead.
