Yvette Nicole Brown Slams Khloe Kardashian's Water Use Amidst LA Fires
Yvette Nicole Brown he is not impressed Khloe Kardashian.
The actress called out the reality star for her excessive use of water after Kardashian, 40, hit out at the Mayor of Los Angeles. Karen Bass' is a response to the ongoing wildfires that are ravaging areas of Los Angeles.
“This is from 2022 when Los Angeles is in the middle of a drought,” Brown, 53, wrote on Instagram on Monday, January 13. “All citizens were asked to save for the benefit of everyone. You know because of the fire? This is how some citizens responded to the question. is this a joke @khloekardashian?”
I Community the star also shared a screenshot of a Rolling Stone article titled: “Kardashians Among LA's Biggest Water Wasters.”
The publication, which cited public data obtained by Los Angeles Timessaid Kardashian's home in Calabasas used 101,000 gallons of water over the allotted limit in one month. (The Kardashians have not publicly commented on the report.)
Brown's comments come after Kardashian expressed her support for the Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin M. Crowley after watching a recent interview where he was discussing the department's budget.
“We're crying out that we get funding properly, to make sure that our firefighters are doing their job so that we can serve the community that we swore an oath to,” Crowley told KTTV.
In response to the interview, Kardashian said she stands by Chief Crowley.
“You spoke the truth until tears welled up in your eyes because I'm telling you, you didn't even want to say that but it was true!!!!! he wrote on his Instagram Story on Friday, January 10. “Thank you for being honest @LosAngelesFireDepartment Chief Crowley. Mayor Bass is a joke!!!!”
Us has reached out to Kardashian's rep for comment.
At a press conference on Saturday, January 11, Bass, 71, said he and Crowley are “focused” on putting out more fires around Los Angeles County and “any differences we may have will be worked out privately.”
Many celebrities have been directly affected by the Southern California wildfires. Heidi Montag again Spencer Pratt, Anna Faris, Paris Hilton, Ricki Lake again Melissa Rivers were among the stars who lost their homes in the Palisades Fire.
As of Tuesday, January 14, the fire has burned more than 23,000 acres and is 17 percent contained. According to the Los Angeles Timesapproximately 92,000 people are still under evacuation orders, and another 89,000 are in areas where evacuation warnings have been issued.
