Family of marine vet killed in violence in Mexico: 'We will take care of it'
Former President Trump was joined on stage at a rally in Nevada on Thursday night by the family of a Marine veteran recently killed in Mexico.
Lieutenant Col. Warren Douglas Quets joined Trump on stage at the Las Vegas resort in Henderson as he spoke about his son Nicholas Douglas Quets, a 31-year-old Marine veteran who was working for Pima County, Arizona, on water restoration projects.
Young Quets were shot and killed along the Caborca-Altar Highway in northern Mexico on October 19, 30 miles from the US-Mexico border.
“I didn't plan to be here,” said Warren Douglas Quets. “Two weeks ago, I was a completely anti-political actor. Anyone outside my home didn't know who I was going to vote for. Today. The situation has changed for me in the last two weeks.”

He said Trump and his partner, Sen. JD Vance, from Ohio, met him three days after the murder.
“So if you wonder where America really is and what the issues are, you don't have to wonder anymore. The man next to me and his deputy who was appointed as the vice president, the senator who is currently sitting, both met with me within 36 hours, and both took up the issue,” said Quets.
TRUMP IS PLAYING A BLUE-LEANING NATION AS HE TAKES A BRIEF BAR BREAK.
“It's a policy that contributed to the death of my son. It's a policy that contributes to the deaths of other Americans,” he added. “It's a policy that contributes to the entry of fentanyl into the United States. That's a political failure, and we need to end it.”
It is reported that Mexican officials said that Nicholas Quets did not stop there cartel checkpointand a group of armed men followed his truck and opened fire “directly.”
Despite reports that Mexican authorities have made arrests, Quets' father said he trusts the FBI to conduct its investigation and wants his son's killers extradited to the US.
“What I want is funding for a few things,” Quets said. “One is to change the US code so that if people commit crimes against Americans, especially murder, they can be brought back here to face our justice. Number two the law that was passed brings us closer to the Mexican plan to establish not only military power, but also the building of institutions.”
Quets told the crowd that Trump “had a tear in his eye” when the two talked about his son and that he believed Trump would “keep” his promise to seek justice if elected.
Quets also said that his family tried to attend a meeting with Harris who was running with Gov. Tim Walz but was told that the place was full and they couldn't meet Walz.
Fox News Digital reached out to Harris' campaign for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

“It's amazing and frankly, to do that, to be able to do that literally just days after this horrible event happened is pretty amazing,” Trump told the crowd, which at one point erupted in chants of “Nicholas!”
“I'll tell you. We're going to handle it. We're going to handle it. We're going to find that guy. We're going to find him. We're going to find him. They know who he is. They know who he is. It's really easy. If I'm president, we're going to eliminate drug traffickers and human traffickers. They're killing hundreds of thousands of people in our country.
