After a three-year hiatus from acting, Armie Hammer is returning to film. The actor resigned from the film role after many women accused him of sexual harassment, tarnishing his image. Western film, Frontier Crucible, it will be his first film since his impeachment and suspension.

Armie Hammer's comeback vehicle is based on Harry Whittington's 1961 novel titled Dessert Stake-out. It centers on a forced alliance formed between an ex-soldier, a gang, a wounded husband, and his wife all caught up in a survival situation in the 1870s. Producer Dallas Sonnier compared the film to Pond Dogs again Bone Tomahawk.
