Trump's Pick for Secretary of Defense Had a Scary Moment on Live TV
Fox News host Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump's choice for secretary of defense, once hit a man with an ax during a TV show gone bad.
On a 2015 episode of “Fox & Friends,” Hegseth threw an ax in his direction as members of the West Point Hellcats marching band performed behind it.
He missed his target completely and drummed up Jeff Prosperie in the event that was popular at the time, but is getting new attention because Hegseth was contacted by the defense secretary:
Prosperie said at the time that he was not hit by the blade, but he was injured in the wrist.
“It could be worse or fatal,” he wrote on Facebook, and said it was the result of “blatant negligence.”
“When you shoot or throw, always know what is behind your goal,” he wrote.
Prosperie later sued over the incident. It is unclear whether the case was ever resolved.
