Climate activists staged a protest at the UN COP29 talks in Baku on Saturday, calling on world leaders to “keep their promises” in the face of global warming. Activists held up signs encouraging pledges to be kept and tied belts to ropes to honor a religious tradition called Cirio de Nossa Senhora de Nazaré in the northern region of Brazil.
