Miss Universe Victoria Kjaer Theilvig Vows Celibacy During Her Reign

Theilvig, nicknamed “Barbie Miss Universe,” was crowned the 73rd Miss Universe on Saturday, November 16, in Mexico City. She was the first Danish contestant to take home the tiara – and the first blonde winner in more than 20 years.

“Since I was crowned on September 1 as Miss Universe Denmark, I've been called Barbie, but for me, it's a big compliment – because Barbie is about women's empowerment and that's what I stand for,” she said. After being crowned Miss Universe, Theilvig didn't have much time to celebrate as she explained that she had “a lot of work to do” – but she did get to see some of her family.
