Stagnant excitement as a financial deal was awaited
There was great excitement as the new financial deal was agreed at the COP29 conference in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The new deal provides $300bn (about £240bn) a year for developing countries by 2035.
As COP President Mukhtar Babayev began to welcome the new agreement, applause filled the room.
The climate summit lasted more than 32 hours, ended at around 03:00 local time (23:00 GMT), and it was feared that no agreement would be reached.
A few hours earlier representatives of the Alliance of Small Island States he walked out of the conversationscrapping an earlier pledge of $250bn.
