Israel moves forward on ceasefire deal with Hezbollah: reports

Israel is reportedly moving toward a cease-fire deal with Hezbollah in Lebanon after a nearly year-long war escalated into a full-scale war in September.

Israeli media, including YNET and Haaretz, have reported that Israel has partially agreed to a US-backed ceasefire proposal.

No final agreement has been reached, according to reports.

Lebanon and the militant group Hezbollah reportedly agreed to the deal last week, but both sides must give the final OK before it can happen.

The reported ceasefire agreement comes after Hezbollah launched its largest-ever rocket attack on Israel in exchange for Israeli military strikes on Hezbollah bases in Beirut.
