Kellie Pickler and Late Husband Kyle Jacobs Head to Court

Kellie Pickler and her late husband's parents Kyle Jacobs they find themselves at odds over Jacobs' property.

The petition alleges that Reed and Sharon created a document titled “Inventory” in which they subpoenaed Pickler to turn over certain items, some of which he claimed he did not have or whose ownership was disputed.

Some of the items they are asking for include Kyle's gun which is reported to contain three guns, seven revolvers, one pistol, a silencer and a gun safe. His parents also bequeathed his watches and jewelry, baseball card collection, musical instruments and personal items, among other things.

Kyle's parents allegedly also took things from Pickler's house without telling him.

“As part of this action, Mrs. Pickler seeks an order requiring the co-defendants to identify the items they found in her home,” the petition states.

Meanwhile, Reed and Sharon dispute Pickler's claim that he may not have known where some of the requested items were or were not entitled to them. They agreed to go into Pickler's house to get some things, but another request was received Us Weeklythey said “at the direct invitation of [Pickler] and his adviser who met with him to discuss the transfer of the inheritance.”

The petition also alleges that Pickler knew the items were to be taken because he kept them for Kyle's parents.

Reed and Sharon are asking that Pickler's request be dismissed as they have gone through the couple's prenup, which spells out the future ownership of Kyle's property.

Pickler was granted a protective order barring any party from sharing the text or video of his request to spare him any “annoyance, embarrassment, oppression or undue burden or expense.”

Kyle's parents oppose that order, saying that “he sought the protection of information/documents that were not yet available,” They also said that “the Court has never expressed in any way its decision 'to avoid. shame' as [Pickler’s] The proposed order adds liberally.”

Reed and Sharon filed their complaints on November 7 and the case is still ongoing.
