Time flies faster than Sam Wilson. Two years have passed Captain America 4 announced at San Diego Comic-Con. The film's intended release date of 2024 has been pushed back to February 14, 2025, apparently due to strikes by writers and actors, although many thought the delay had more to do with Disney's desire to improve the quality of the film after negative reviews. .
Now there are reports that Captain America 4 reshoots less than three months before its release. This makes one thing painfully clear: Disney no longer has a real creative vision when it comes to the MCU.
Captain America Crisis 4
Earlier, there was a lot of speculation that Disney wanted to delay it Captain America 4 cutting out potentially controversial material. These include the Israeli hero Sabra, which may move after the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Marvel's Cinematic Universe Suffers from a Paralyzing Reliance on Committees

At one point, the title actress was reported to be the fourth lead in a film that now focuses heavily on female heroes, a difficult decision to even attempt to skate.
And, of course, a lot it's obvious the mark of making films by committee is the decision to bring back Robert Downey Jr. like Doctor Doom. It's Disney's Hail Mary attempt to create a memorable Big Bad in the wake of the legal drama surrounding Jonathan Majors, but it also reveals just how messed up the House of Mouse is. After trying to make Kang the Conqueror happen by shoving his weird stories down our throats, the studio just turned around, spending a small mountain of money to bring back Marvel's most famous face in what will inevitably be another empty Variant cameo.
The reported reshoot of Captain America 4 may or may not make the film better, but it ultimately represents a sign of Marvel's biggest failure to let creators create a bright vision rather than trying to look at the empty state of empty audience expectations. At one point, the studio seemed to understand that big hits only come from big changes. That's why directors like Jon Favreau and Taika Waititi are given so much creative freedom. With these particular directors, their MCU debut sequels were obviously weaker than the first film, but relative insanity Iron Man 2 again Thor: Love and fame it didn't matter that much because The Man of Steel again Thor: Ragnarok it changed the whole cinema scene for the better.
Marvel Must Learn This Is Useless Or Doomed
My TL;DR request to Marvel is this: Substitute the helplessness that comes from negative reviews and cynical social media for a disgruntled neckbeard response.
Hire talented directors and let them create the kind of killer comedy content that once made the MCU a blockbuster movie franchise. If not, this cinematic universe will continue to dwindle, and it won't be long before fans who miss Marvel's risk-taking art focus their love for the upcoming DCU and the timeless art of legendary creator James Gunn. Gunn is someone who luckily got fired from Marvel because of the executives who were scared instead of the fans.
Marvel has a lesson to learn. They won't know what it is until the committee is delayed in finding it for about half a decade or more.
