“It's fun,” said Vicky Torres, whose family from Colombia will watch the show in person. “I always watch it on TV, so it's like a dream.”

More than 5,000 volunteers walked the parade, smiling and happy despite the weather.

The parade featured 17 character balloons, including past favorites like SpongeBob SquarePants and Bluey, and new faces, like Minnie Mouse.

It also featured 22 floats, including an Italian pasta-themed float called 'Pasta Night.'

“It's really fun,” said Kathleen Wright, Macy's Director of Product Operations.

“It's really funny. It is not expected. And I think everyone will really love it when they see you down the parade route. “
