Taylor Swift apologizes after Billboard uses video clip of her nude wax figure

On Thursday, Billboard apologized for a video put together by Taylor Swift that inadvertently showed a clip of a video of Kanye West revealing a wax that looked like the pop singer was naked in bed with her.

“We deeply apologize to Taylor Swift and all of our readers and viewers that in a video celebrating Swift's success, we included a clip that falsely portrayed her,” the magazine wrote on social media on Thanksgiving morning. “We have removed the clip from our video and deeply regret the damage caused by this error.”

A public notice on X about Billboard's apology said, “The clip that Billboard cited as 'falsely representative' was a video clip from Ye's 'Famous' music video. Featuring a nude wax recreation of Taylor Swift, among other male and female celebrities, the video music was revenge sex. This is illegal in most US states.”

In his controversial and candid 2016 music video for “Famous,” West not only showed himself in bed with Swift, his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, now President-elect Trump, Anna Wintour, Rihanna and others, he also said he admired her. Swift's fame.

“I made that b—- famous,” he raps in the song, and says, “I feel like Taylor and I might still be having sex.”

The two artists have had a rocky relationship for the past 15 years, ever since West interrupted the “Shake it Off” singer's 2009 MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech to suggest that BeyoncĂ© deserved the award more than he did.

Several commentators wrote, “Publicly apologize to Taylor Swift,” before the magazine added a mea culpa to the same post on Instagram.

A representative for Swift did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
