MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE IS SEEN AS A TERRORIST ATTRACTION: REPORT
This rally came on the day of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. In 1977, the United Nations' General Assembly requested that this day be celebrated every year on November 29.
The date coincides with Nov. 29, 1947, when the UN voted on the plan to partition Palestine and the creation of the independent Jewish state of Israel.
The UN in Geneva celebrated this day in cooperation with the Palestinians, said Tatiana Valovaya, director-general of the UN Geneva.
“This commemoration is a timely opportunity to reaffirm international solidarity with the Palestinian people and their right to live in peace and dignity,” he wrote online.
Pro-Palestinian protesters have accused Israel of indiscriminately killing civilians in Gaza after the terrorist group attacked the Jewish state on October 7, 2023. Israel has denied that, saying Hamas continues to use weapons and sensitive equipment in civilian areas and under hospitals and schools.
