The actress, 27, said “yes” to the NFL star, 28, on Friday, November 22, in a water proposal.
The couple revealed the news on Friday, November 29, with an Instagram post showing when they got engaged. Allen proposed at sunset in front of a flower arch while down on one knee. The steamy photo showed Steinfeld kissing her new lover.
The couple were first linked when they were spotted together in New York City in May 2023, shortly after Allen ended his eight-year relationship with his girlfriend. Brittany Williams.

Although they haven't made their romance public, Allen publicly acknowledged her relationship status in August 2023 when asked about her response to being photographed with Steinfeld on vacation. “The fact that anyone cares about that still blows my mind,” he said on the “Pardon My Take” podcast.
Steinfeld was later seen shopping with her mother and showing support for her boyfriend at a Buffalo Bills game in October 2023. That same month, she and the quarterback stepped out at a rare Buffalo Sabers vs. New York Rangers NHL game. .
Fans got a glimpse of the two in March, when Allen suffered a wardrobe malfunction while attending Paris Fashion Week with Steinfeld.

The two later made a cute cameo in a video from their pregnant older sister Blame MaddenSex reveals the party. “I'm Josh,” Allen said on TikTok, showing several family members and friends predicting the baby's gender. “I'm Hailee,” Steinfeld laughed before correctly guessing that Allen would be getting a new niece.
Before they got engaged, Steinfeld shut down allegations that the athlete had proposed after he was seen sporting a diamond ring.
“I have a female child that is born,” he said E! News as she showed off her jewelry at the 2024 Golden Globes, she shared a sneaky update on the pair's relationship. “There's no particular reason other than I think she's really cute.”
When asked to name her favorite thing about dating an athlete, Steinfeld laughed, “Listen, what's it about? Come now.”
