Rivalry Week flag plants go out to many full team crowds following the Michigan-Ohio State showdown
Hours after members of the Michigan and Ohio State football teams fought over a midfield plant, a similar incident occurred in North Carolina.
NC State beat North Carolina in Chapel Hill on Saturday, 35-30, and they wanted to let everyone know about it.
So, right after the game, members of the Wolfpack tried to plant the NC State flag at midfield, where the Tar Heel logo sits.

UNC made a decision, and the players had to be separated after several punches were thrown.
Dozens of players were on top of each other around the field which turned into a scary scene.
UNC receiver JJ Jones actually took the flag and threw it into the stands before getting into it with a member of the Wolfpack.
In the end, NC State celebrated with its fans.
Even Florida and Florida State had to be separated later in the day. The situation was quickly defused, and no punches were seen to be thrown. Head coaches Mike Norvell and Billy Napier had a lively discussion about the incident, and Norvell tossed the Florida flag to the sideline.
There was no such incident in College Station after Texas beat Texas A&M to regain the regional title after a 10-plus game break.

Both the Wolfpack and Tar Heels are awaiting bowl destinations — with the latter awaiting the hiring of their next head coach. The Gators will also see who they play in the bowl game, and the Noles went 2-10.
