Teddi Mellencamp Stays With Kyle Richards Amid Edwin Arroyave's Divorce

I Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, revealed that she lives for some time with Richards, 55, in her home in Beverly Hills as she and Arroyave, 47, share their marital home with their children.

“They know that we are separated, we are filing for divorce. I'm giving birth,” Mellencamp said in the first episode of her new podcast, “Diamonds in the Rough,” hosted by. RHOBH's Erika JayneThursday, December 5.

“Some places you can just file for divorce … in California, there's a six-month cooling-off period,” Mellencamp continued. “During those six months, you can do a lot of things. The way I learned about childbirth was from one of my beautiful girlfriends, she is a divorce coach. He told me about giving birth. This is where the children live [in the marital home] and parents come and go.”

Jayne, 53, then asked Mellencamp how she and Arroyave split custody of their three children: daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 4, and son Cruz, 10.

“I can't describe our time properly. “But Edwin and I leave when the other one sleeps,” explained Mellencamp. “We can both attend sporting events … we're very happy to be together.”

Mellencamp went on to reveal that when he's not in the house, “I stay at Kyle's house.”

“I saw you filmed in the beauty room… my bedroom now, you fool!” Mellencamp joked with Jayne, describing the upstairs bedroom where she lives. “Very comfortable.”

Mellencamp added, “Thank you, Kyle let me do that. This way you know there are real friendships to be made [on reality TV]. I was like, 'Will I get a place to live?' I just zip it up, it's close, it's easy. He cooks. Sometimes. We are starting. We just got into it.”

“It works well for the kids – we're close and everything is on the calendar. They know exactly when I'm out and when and vice versa,” he continued.

Mellencamp announced her split from Arroyave on November 2.

“After much care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” Mellencamp wrote on Instagram. “My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken for their privacy and health throughout this new chapter.”

He added, “Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do, but in an effort to protect my family from unnecessary speculation and rumours, I felt free, honest and vulnerable was the best way forward.”

Later in November, Us Weekly reported that Mellencamp was accused of having an affair with her horse trainer, Simon Schroedermonths before parting ways with Arroyave.

“Simon and Teddi had an affair a few months ago but it just didn't work out,” said the source. Usnoting that Teddi and Edwin were both unfaithful to each other during their marriage.

A second insider said Arroyave spoke to Schroeder's wife, Karli“who confirmed the matter.”

Before their separation, “Teddi and Edwin were working on their marriage problems, despite his previous misunderstandings,” said the first source, noting, “They stayed married because of the children.”

Mellencamp broke her silence on the Nov. 14 episode of her “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast after news of her dating hit the headlines.

“I'm sure everyone has seen everything on the world wide web,” Mellencamp said.

He then said “I will not confirm or deny anything.” Mellencamp said, “But there are a lot of people involved.”
