“She faced her illness with the strength and dignity she brought to her artistic work, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and devotion, as well as her amazing ability to make every role memorable,” she wrote. “Mark's talent and dedication to the industry will be greatly missed by colleagues, friends and fans alike.”
During his illustrious career, Mark played Ted Dinard in the first series of Dynasty, which ran from January 1981 to May 1989.
Her character was the love interest of the sexually confused Steven Carrington (Al Corley)one of the main family members in the series.
In dramatic scenes, Steven's father Blake Carrington (John Forsythe) accidentally kills Ted after seeing him hug his son – marking the end of Mark's time on the show.
Most recently, Mark portrayed Gary in the hit Netflix series, Stranger Things. The actor was a local coroner and appeared in the first season.
Throughout his acting career, Mark also has closing credits on numerous TV shows and movies, including. Castle, Criminal Minds, Dallas, Days of Our Lives, Drop Dead Diva, again Fraser.
He also appeared in the middle Hill Street Blues, LA Law, Magnum PI, Matlock, Remington Steele, Sense8, Wonder Woman, The Dukes of Hazzard again King of Wives.

In the early days of his acting career, he managed to get gigs in commercials. Among these were roles in campaigns for McDonald's, American Airlines, Folger's Coffee, Irish Spring soap and Crest toothpaste.
Born on June 25, 1947 in Binghamton, New York, Mark studied acting and directing at California State University, Los Angeles.
He later earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
