The Chiefs won the AFC West for the 9th consecutive season after scoring the game-winning goal
The Kansas City Chiefs are your AFC West champions for the ninth straight season, as they took down their division foe, the Los Angeles Chargers, with a game-winning field goal.
The 19-17 victory moved the Chiefs to 12-1 this season, which was a great victory to not only claim this division, but to separate from the Buffalo Bills at number 1 in the AFC. Meanwhile, the Chargers are now 8-5 this season as they continue to chase a playoff spot with four games left.

There was plenty of time for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense to respond, and as we've seen more times than we can count, that's exactly what happened at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
On 3rd and 10 on the ensuing drive, Mahomes escaped the Chargers' pressure and found rookie receiver Xavier Worthy on a 14-yard strike, where he returned the ball and secured it to extend the drive.
Mahomes' scramble and a couple of runs by Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt will continue to change the clock, as the Chiefs close in on kicker Matthew Wright, who had three field goals, including a 50-yarder. before going into the winning game.
CHIEFS' TRAVIS KELCE LABELS AT SEASON'S HITTING LOSS: 'F—IT'S ENCOURAGING'
On 3rd and 7 from the Chargers' 20-yard line, it was important for Los Angeles to stop the Chiefs from forcing a field goal and giving Herbert another chance to score the game-winning drive himself.
But Mahomes' magic happened again, as he rolled outside of the pocket, missed the tackler, and flipped the ball first to Travis Kelce.
That allowed the Chiefs to run out the clock until the end of the fourth quarter, when Wright hit the left field goal from 31 yards out, but it was just deep enough to stay three points and the win.
“Doink for the division!” NBC play-by-play announcer Mike Tirico shouted from the broadcast booth.
It took a while to find the end zone on this play, but it finally happened near midfield as DeAndre Hopkins caught a short pass from Mahomes and took it nine yards to make it 13-0.
The Chargers, who had to play without Herbert's reliable rookie Ladd McConkey, couldn't go on five straight punts in the first half.
However, they turned it around in the second half with back-to-back touchdown drives to make this a real battle for the AFC West.
First, it was the start of the second half, as Herbert split the Chiefs defense with 13 plays when Gus Edwards, replacing JK Dobbins, scored from three yards out.
After forcing the Chiefs to go out three times, Herbert needed only four plays to finally get Quentin Johnston who scored four points to lead 14-13.
But if Mahomes and the Chiefs had the ball at the end of a close game this season, it didn't work for the opponents.
Mahomes was 24 of 37 for 210 yards with one touchdown pass, while rushing for 17 yards in the win. Pacheco, who played a big role as he recovered from injury.
