A fiery riot at a Florida intersection has a sheriff's office searching for dozens of suspects
A sheriff's office in central Florida is searching for 30 people they say were part of an “intersection takeover” that scared drivers and damaged cars.
A crowd blocked the intersection of South John Young Parkway and Central Florida Parkway on Nov. 30, the Orange County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) said on Facebook.
A large group “lit a fire on the road, and used the area for cars to make donuts next to the flames,” before harassing innocent drivers, preventing them from passing.
“There's a kid in the car,” someone was heard yelling at the scene, sheriff's office footage showed.

The suspects “in other incidents were climbing on top of vehicles and destroying them,” OCSO said. The law enforcement agency said “reckless and violent behavior poses a serious danger” to the public, and pledged to “hold those responsible accountable.”
The Tesla driver said the damage to his car was estimated at $60,000 after “several people jumped on top of his car and started kicking his window, which broke,” according to an affidavit obtained by the Miami Herald.

Some of the suspects appeared to want to hide their identity, while others had their cell phones out to record the incident.
“I feel really bad for the people who were trying to go about their daily lives and ended up in that mess,” Dave Nutting, a law enforcement specialist and retired deputy with the sheriff's office, told FOX 35 Orlando.
