President-elect Donald J. Trump has promised that he will sometimes use the great powers of his office to exact revenge on politicians and officials he says have wronged him. Over the past few years, he has publicly named a number of those people and spelled out what he believes should happen to them.
“I am your hero, I am your justice,” said Mr. Trump telling his supporters in 2023. “And to those who have been betrayed and betrayed, I am your revenge.”
