Adele Hugs Meryl Streep at Her Residence: 'What an AF—-ing Honor!'
Yes, even celebrities have their favorite celebrities.
Adele he gave to his favorite celebrity, Meryl Streephug on Friday, November 1, during his residency show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In a video posted by X, the “Hello” singer was performing her weekend with Adele at Caesars Palace, when she spotted the iconic actress in the audience. Adele, incidentally, was dressed as Streep's character, Madeline Ashton, from the 1992 film Death Becomes Her.
In the video, Adele bows to the Oscar-winning actor, before exclaiming, “Stop being disrespectful, I love you!” The two hugged and Streep, 75, blew Adele a lie and clapped before the singer continued to perform.
It is not the first time that a big celebrity has been seen in the place where the singer has lived for a long time. A star Celine Dion appeared at his show on Saturday, October 26, making Adele cry.
Dion, 56, and Adele shared a hug as the crowd cheered. Dion held Adele's face in her hands, then kissed her hand in an emotional moment. The “My Heart Will Go On” singer attended the show with her two sons, Nelson and Eddy, both 14 years old.
In footage from the show shared by X, Adele told the crowd, “Leave it to Ms. Celine Dion!” as he returned to the stage.
Dion posted about her experience on Instagram afterward, praising Adele for her work.
“Adele, thank you so much for welcoming me and my family to the Colosseum for your amazing show!” Dion wrote in a post dated November 1. “Your performance was amazing, your production was excellent. We loved seeing you and hearing you sing…it was an emotional night for all of us.”
The Colosseum, where Adele lives, was built for Dion's residence in Las Vegas in 2003.
Adele recently made headlines after sharing an update on her recovery after suffering from an ear infection. The Grammy winner spoke about the traumatic experience during her October 25 concert.
“Actually, I have an ear infection, which is actually very painful. I have never suffered from hearing loss before,” he said, referring to a fan's video on social media. “It is the most painful thing that has ever happened to me in my life. It was worse than giving birth.”
He explained that during a summer visit to Munich, he discovered a “rare water virus.”
“[It] it is difficult to treat, so I took antibiotics for several days,” said the singer. “They were able to give me one that started working. I no longer feel pain, sweet, [but] I can't hear well in my left ear.”
