Carlos Alcaraz hit his purple patch in Turin today.
Battling a fever that hampered his ATP Finals loss, Alcaraz took to the court sporting a purple breathing tube around his nose.

The third-seeded Spaniard unleashed more energy in his 6-3, 7-6(8) round-robin victory over Andrey Rublev.
After that, Alcaraz said that the strip show will come back during his training session and there may be his final round robin match vs. Alexander Zverev on Friday.
The strip is designed to open the nasal passages wider, allowing athletes to breathe more easily. Alcaraz said he felt better in between points wearing the right breathing tube.
“I know [Nicolas] Jarry wear that thing on your nose. For me, it helped me a lot today. I could breathe better,” said Alcaraz to the press in Turin. “It's something I will wear more often, I don't know (smiling). Right now in the situation I'm in right now, it helps a lot.
“I'm sure I'll wear it in the next game. Tomorrow's practice I'll wear it, for sure. I feel better. I can recover better between points.”
