Alexander Zverev with his victory over Carlos Alcaraz on Friday in the Nitto ATP final did more than seal his place in the John Newcombe Group. The German also confirmed that he will finish the year at No. 2 in the PIF ATP Rankings.

Zverev is the No. Although the Spaniard failed to reach the semi-finals of the Nitto ATP Finals, he will no longer be able to catch World No. Zverev.

This is the highest finish in Zverev's career and the seventh time he will finish the season in the Top 10. The 27-year-old finally qualified in 2021, finishing the year at No. 3.

Zverev is two games away from claiming the third Nitto ATP Finals trophy of his career. In 2024 he has already won in Rome and Paris, both ATP Masters 1000 events.

Alcaraz ended the year ranked world No. 3. Two years ago he was the youngest ATP Year-End No. 1 presented by PIF in history. Last year he finished number 2.
