The Stoughton Police Department announced that three children who were reported missing early Friday have been safely located in the Jamaica Plain area, following a nationwide alert.
Police are looking for Ashley Vazquez, 29, of Stoughton who is believed to have taken her three children, ages 10, 9, and 8.
With help from multiple Massachusetts law enforcement agencies, including the Massachusetts State Police Critical Incident Technical Investigations Team and the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section Task Force, Stoughton police were able to locate the children around 10:30 p.m. Friday in the Jamaica Plain area.
Using geolocation technology allowed investigators to locate Vazquez's vehicle.
