Katie Holmes has had his share of ups and downs, but one thing remains certain – his commitment to daughter Suri's well-being.
Holmes and ex-husband Tom Cruise adopted Suri in April 2006. The two he finished it in June 2012 after six years of marriage. After her divorce, Holmes has been open about the highs and lows of her ability to be a single parent.
“That time was intense. It was a lot of attention, and I had a little baby on top of it. [We] he had some funny moments in the community,” the Dawson's Creek alum said in an April 2020 interview no InStyle. “I feel like I can be more creative and have more time, have my own voice.”
Holmes also gushed about how proud he was to watch Suri make up for him yours way as he grew up.
“[I want] to ensure that he is 100% himself and that he is strong, confident, and capable. And to know you. He came out very strong—he's always been a strong person,” he continued. “He will choose something that he will do well until he succeeds. And he said, 'Okay, I'll try the next one.' He is very focused and works hard.”
