Cameron Norrie's strength and fight comes this week at the Moselle Open.
The 29-year-old defeated Zizou Bergs 6-3, 6-7(6), 6-1 on Thursday to book a place in the semifinals of the 25th level. Norrie gave up two match points in the second break, but stormed back to win a third straight set tiebreaker.
“It was a really good match, he's a good player who had a really good year,” Norrie said of Bergs, who is ranked as high as No. 61 in the PIF ATP Rankings. “It's a big success for me, I had to fight hard. I really had to have it [the match] in that break, but he played harder than me and took more risks.”

Norrie's 2024 season was hampered by an arm injury, but the Briton is showing signs of promise on the hard court of the ATP 250 in Metz. With his two-hour, eight-minute win, Norrie is in his first hard-court semi-final since Auckland 2023.
The momentum seemed to change when Bergs rattled off four straight points to steal the second set. Norrie, however, overcame his handicap to produce a clinical decision, where he won 86 percent (12/14) of points after his debut, according to Infosys ATP Stats. It was the second match in as many days that he won the final set 6-1.
“I wasn't happy after losing the second set, but I was able to reset,” added Norrie. “I was lucky with a few strings that went my way, but I'll be lucky if it can be. In the third set, I came back to play and I was taking him close, I think that was the difference today.”
Fighting for a place in the championship match, Norrie will face France's Corentin Moutet, who advanced to the last four after top seed Andrey Rublev was forced to withdraw from the main event due to injury.
In the French affair, Benjamin Bonzi continued his run of good form by eliminating Quentin Halys 6-3, 7-6(1). The player, who hasn't dropped all week, has won 19 of his last 20 games at all levels.
The 28-year-old, who overcame World No. 7 Casper Ruud with the biggest win of his career in the second round, will enter his third ATP Tour semi-final on home soil. After improving to 2-0 in his Lexus ATP Head2Head series with Halys, Bonzi will face #NextGenATP star Alex Michelsen or Buyunchaokete for a place in the final.
