To access Image Playground, upgrade to iOS 18.2 or later:

  • Open it Settings
  • Tap General
  • Select Software Updates
  • Tap Update Now

How to use Image Playground

Once updated, find the Image Playground app icon on your home screen. It looks like a cute animal in a soap bubble. The app uses Apple Intelligence to combine concepts, text descriptions and people from your photo library to create stylized images. Here's how to use it:

  • Open the Photo Playground app
  • When it says “Define image,” continue again type the prompt describing the image you want (eg, “Cat wearing sunglasses”) or add a suggestion to the list
  • Hit Come in and watch as Image Playground creates your image
  • Swipe to select a picture you want to use

  • You can click a button three horizontal dots in the circle at the top right of the screen to copy, repeat or add captions
  • Tap Done when he is satisfied

  • Click on plus sign in the application.
  • Tap “Select Image.”
