'Dallas' star Linda Gray is turning to helping others after being shaken from her 'backbone' decades after the hit show ended.

“Dallas” star Linda Gray stepped out last week to help raise money for cancer, a cause close to her heart.

Gray serves as chairman, along with Alan Stewart, of the Farrah Fawcett Foundation, which is hosting the third annual Farrah Fawcett Foundation Tex-Mex Fiesta in Dallas.

The 84-year-old became involved with the organization after winning the Angel Award at the inaugural Tex-Mex Fiesta in 2022, shortly before the death of his son, Jeff, to leukemia in 2020.

“Celebration of my son Jeff's life. He was the kindest, funniest, sweetest person…..he brought such love to the world and was loved by everyone! May his journey be magical,” she captioned it. with a series of photos shared on Instagram in November 2020.

In a second post, around Thanksgiving, she shared a photo of herself hugging Jeff as he prepared to carve the turkey.

“I have so much to be thankful for. Being Jeff's Mom was an honor. I have such fond memories of cooking with him. He always carved the turkey and made his special cranberry sauce,” she wrote.

Jeff was one of two children Gray shared with ex-husband Ed Thrasher. They also have a daughter, Kehly Sloane, an actress who appeared in “Dallas” playing Grey's secretary.

Speaking at this year's Tex-Mex Fiesta conference, Gray recalled the loss of his son “just shook me to the core,” adding, “This disease has to be stopped,” Culture Map Dallas said.

Gray and Fawcett were longtime friends until the “Charlie's Angels” star died in 2009 of breast cancer.

With the event starting in 2022, Stewart said hosting it in Texas “would mean a lot to him,” according to the Dallas Morning News.

Although he was born in Santa Monica, California, Gray became synonymous with Texas because of his role in “Dallas.”

She played Sue Ellen Ewing, the long-suffering wife of oilman JR Ewing, played by Larry Hagman.

Gray received an Emmy nomination and two Golden Globe nominations for her work on the show, which ran from 1978 to 1991. He also reprized his role in many TV movies from the series throughout the '90s and the revival, which began. from 2012 to 2014, when Hagman died.

He added that spending time with his co-stars, Anderson, Fairchild, Donna Mills and Nicolette Sheridan, was a “great” experience.

And then we had this magic director, well, a woman, and she just fell in between all of us. She was one of us so everything flowed together. And what was great about it for me was it was seamless.

Gray is also looking to reunite with his “Dallas” co-star Patrick Duffy for a TV movie that will play the original version of the Christmas show, per se.

According to the production, Gray and executive producer Larry Thompson, who also worked with him on “Ladies of the 80s,” came up with an idea that would portray Gray and Duffy as poltergeists who haunt the Southfork Ranch, where “Dallas” was filmed, and still serves as a location filming and tourist center to this day.

The pair will be playing all new characters, unrelated to the original series, who haunt the estate and are annoyed by a pop star who is using the estate to film a Christmas music video. Along with being a rom-com holiday, they will also conspire to stop her from falling in love with a beautiful caretaker.
