Former champion Medvedev steps up preparations for Nitto ATP Finals

Daniil Medvedev is making his sixth consecutive appearance at the Nitto ATP Finals.

Arrived and ready to go, former Nitto ATP Finals champion Daniil Medvedev wrapped up his preparations for the prestigious year-end event on Thursday when he arrived on center court at the Inalpi Arena.

The number 4 player in the PIF ATP rankings looked relaxed in Turin, where he practiced and 18-year-old Nicolai Budkov Kjaer from Norway in front of a crowd of young Italians.

Medvedev won the 2020 Nitto ATP Finals and made his sixth consecutive appearance at the event. The 28-year-old arrived in Turin with a 45-19 record on the season.

Also on Thursday, Italian star Jannik Sinner continued to adapt to the conditions when he sparred with American sparring partner Andres Martin. After the game, Sinner and Martin shared their thoughts on the net, with the Italian offering advice to the Americans.

World No. 1 lost to Novak Djokovic in last year's tournament in Turin, but he will be eager to go further this time. Medvedev, Sinner and the rest of the field will learn their ways to the title when the draw takes place around 12:45 pm CET on Thursday.
