Days of Our Lives: Brandon Barash Fired – Stefan DiMera Gone Monday!

Days of our Lives fan favorite Brandon Barash has made a shocking revelation that he was fired from the series Peacock. His character Stefan DiMera comes out on Monday, October 28th. Barash has confirmed that Stefan will be out next week – it looks like as the week begins, his tenure on the soap is coming to an end.

He stated that he was fired even though he was in the middle of the contract. And it was the writers' choice to cut him. Shortly after Barash filmed a traumatic scene with actress Cherie Jimenez (Gabi Hernandez), he was notified. If you remember, it was after the Connie bomb plot.

Stefan brought flowers to Gabi at the hospital. And they talk about saving their marriage. Therefore, Brandon felt happy about his work. Then, Stefan's character said he was called to Janet Drucker's office. And he knew what was going to happen.

Janet is the executive producer of Days of our Lives. He said the shooting scared him and hurt him. But Barash said he's also excited about the future and what's next for him. And he thought the universe was telling him Days of Our Lives wasn't where he was meant to be.

Days of Our Lives: Brandon Barash Cast as Stefan DiMera – Debuts Monday as Kidnapping Victim

Brandon Barash wrapped filming as Stefan DiMera in the first week of March 2024. And despite being blindsided by his firing, he's glad he was able to spend most of his son's first year with him because he got the axe.

Similarly, Barash left General Hospital before the birth of his daughter. But he said that was his choice, when this Days of our Lives situation wasn't there – they just fired him. However, he is grateful for all the memories he has made at home with his family.

Barash's daughter, Harper Rose, shares an ex-wife, General Hospital actress Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones). And his one-year-old son, Joaquin, he shares with current wife Isa Barash. As the devoted father that he is, Brandon says being a father is his most important role.

Brandon is upset about leaving the news between Stefan, Gabi, and EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel). And they feel like they're headed somewhere exciting with Days of our Lives. Both Cherie Jimemenz and Feuerriegel were unhappy with Barash's sudden departure.

It doesn't look like Brandon Barash will be returning to Days of Our Lives. Another reason is that it is the second time he has been let go from a soap that is in the middle of the contract. Barash said in order for him to return, the story and the contract would have to be “very good.”

He has lost confidence in the show team. Brandon said that in business, as in marriage, there must be trust. You have to know when things get tough, they stick to you. He said that with a TV show like this, they don't know what to do with his character, but they know he has a child, so they write him out.

So, he no longer has that trust in them. Since his firing, the writing team has changed and Ron Carlivati is no longer on Days of our Lives. But it is not clear whether Carlivati was the one making the decisions behind this shooting or not.

Stefan DiMera's exodus began on Friday, October 25. That's when the masked man attacked Stefanu. He tore up his divorce papers after deciding to fight for Gabi. Stefan was drugged and left unconscious on the couch.

Then, on Monday, Stefan's mother, Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel), stops Gabi at the mansion's door. Vivian's follower Ivan Marais (Ivan G'Vera) drugged his son on orders. And next week, Ivan shoves Stefan in the trunk of a car and is fired. He won't be seen again – unless they recast the role – or they can convince Brandon Barash to trust them again…
