Days of Our Lives Mourning Wayne Northrop – Heartfelt Songs from Co-Stars

A Tale of Days of Our Lives Wayne Northropthe first one Roman Bradypassed away last week. And today, we look at his life, legacy and a touching tribute from his co-stars from DOOL and his wife Lynn Herring from General Hospital.

Lynn shared the news that she lost her beloved husband Wayne. He died on Wednesday, Nov 27, 2024, aged 77. At the time of his death, Wayne Northrop was being cared for by Motion Picture and Television Home.

His wife revealed that in 2018, six years ago, Wayne was diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer's. And it was the health problems that took his life. Lynn said, “Wayne breathed his last in the arms of his family”.

Wayne Northrop played Roman Brady from 1981 to 1984 on Days of Our Lives. He then returned to the role of Roman from 1991 to 1994. In addition to DOOL, Wayne starred on screen with his wife Lynn Herring in a spinoff of his soap.

He played Rex Stanton on GH's spinoff Port Charles from 1997-1998. In today's video, Belynda from Soap Dirt shares a sweet tribute to Wayne Northrop from our Days of Lives colleagues. Also, some from his time on the General Hospital spinoff. See it all below.
