Many times over the years I have referred to Cal Poly as the “hardest working unknown up on the Central Coast of California.”
And it's true. When I'm talking about programs that have been boosted by RPI because of geographic segregation, Cal Poly is one of my poster boys for this unfair practice. But there's also been a ton of success under longtime coach Larry Lee over the years.
