German and French foreign ministers meet with new rulers in Syria | European Union

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot and his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock visited the Syrian capital, Damascus, to push for a peaceful political transition. Barrot and Baerbock are the first EU ministers to meet the new Syrian leaders and visit the notorious Sednaya prison since the ouster of President Bashar al-Assad.
